Sarah Major, PTA
My name is Sarah Major and I am PTA and certified Pilates instructor. I became interested in Physical Therapy and Pilates as an aide in a Physical Therapy clinic. It was very rewarding to see how the Physical Therapists helped to get their clients back to their everyday activities and fitness regimens. I was also impressed to see how Pilates was used as a tool to assist clients with their rehabilitation and helped to transition them back to a healthy lifestyle, as well as see how Pilates could then be used to help them as a fitness tool after they were finished with their PT treatment. Working in the PT clinic inspired me to pursue a career as a PTA and Pilates instructor. I graduated from Loma Linda University in 2006 where I received my Associates degree in Health Sciences as well as my training for my career as a PTA. I received my Pilates certification from Pilates Sport Center of Encino in 2010. I enjoy assisting the Physical Therapist with treating a variety of diagnoses as well as treating clients with traditional PT exercises and utilizing Pilates in their rehabilitation. Having experienced injuries and gone through surgeries myself, I have experienced the importance and the value of Physical Therapy and returning to a healthy lifestyle. This insight helps to fuel my passion for helping others transition from injuries back to their regular exercise regimen and everyday routine. I enjoy cycling, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. I have participated in several recreational running races such as marathons, half marathons and triathlons.
